By signing up to become a beta reader through this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Privacy & Communication

Your privacy is important to me. Any personal information you provide, including your email address, will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to other beta readers or third parties.

All communication will be conducted via Mailchimp, which allows for secure, private distribution of content and helps ensure your email remains hidden from other recipients. This is the only platform I will use to distribute beta content unless otherwise stated.

2. Copyright & Ownership

All content sent to beta readers - including but not limited to manuscripts, sample chapters, outlines, or character summaries - is the intellectual property of CE Shorland and is protected under the Australian Copyright Act 1968 and international copyright laws.

By accessing any materials provided to you as a beta reader, you agree to the following:

• You will not share, redistribute, or reproduce any part of the content, in whole or in part, without express written permission.

• You will not edit, alter, adapt, republish, or claim authorship of any content received.

• You understand this material is confidential, and any breach of this agreement may result in legal action.

3. Your Role as a Beta Reader

By signing up, you are volunteering to read and offer constructive feedback on pre-release, post-release or in-progress works. While I appreciate and encourage your honest opinions, participation is optional and unpaid, and your involvement does not grant you any legal rights or claim to the content, characters, concepts, or final publication.

4. Agreement to Terms

By submitting your information and signing up through the Beta Reader page, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined on this page. Continued participation in the beta reader program will be taken as ongoing agreement to these terms.
